Kimbanda,
Originally Kimbanda belonged to the tradition of the Afro-Brazilian religion Macumba, but then broke away from it and today plays an important role mainly in the underground of Brazilian cities. Kimbanda is a denomination that has absorbed many influences from the Angolan and Congolese banture religions.
The deities worshipped here are called Exus (male) and Pomba giras (female). It is said that these deities have high moral standards for their believers, but in return they help them reliably in difficult situations.
The petitioners come from all walks of life. Whether it should be luck in love, prosperity or health care, the gods are regularly offered sacrifices. Mostly it is about liquor, perfume, flowers, tobacco or food.
Nightly crossroads are very popular as a location. The martial superstructures with black, jagged metal skewers are typical for the cult objects of Kimbanda.
